TASTING NOTES

Appearence: Similar to Venerable but even denser, with more rusty, copper-coloured highlights in its legs due to its extraordinary age. Nose: Very intense and complex. Notes of raisins, bitter chocolate, roasted coffee, orange peel, caramel, honey, plum jam and liquorice. Palate: One of the sweetest wines in the world, with, however, sustained acidity. Very unctuous. We should also point out the “touch of salt” that appears on the aftertaste, which, together with the background of raisins and bitter chocolate offers a slightly citric finish wrapped in the subtle presence of oak.
